I had my first appointment with Shelly yesterday, after a friend told me about her. I have to say that I have never sat down in a stylist chair and immediately felt like I was in completely capable hands. Somehow she knew exactly what I wanted just by looking a few pictures I had brought, and a short conversation. She listened to everything. To say she did an amazing job, is an understatement. And I absolutely love my hair. I had highlights, and low lights(root color) cut and style. I so wish I had found her 7 years ago when I moved to Virginia. Shelly gets 10 stars in my book! Thank you so much, Styles By Design, for having a stylist, that is not only exceptional in her work, but who is very reasonably priced as well!!

My experience with Styles by Design has always been top notch, all the stylist in this shop are friendly and professional. I see this shop has the best of the best. If you need something fixed, they do not hesitate to get you in. If you have a special event and life gets in the way and you make a last minute appointment, they try there best to get you in. They may have another customer but they work their magic by taking care of multiple people at the same time and you come out of their chair feeling pretty and good about yourself. I tried several different shops and stylists after moving to Culpeper 14 years ago and finally found someone I was happy with in Kellie MacMurray. I started seeing her at Waves, the same location where she is now before she bought the shop and changed the name to Styles by Design. As the new owner, Kellie made great improvements in the look and equipment. I have never had to wait, everyone there is friendly and helpful and the place is always clean, lively and serves men and women of all ages.
