Jessie rescued my son’s hair from a previous bad cut! The place is a very stylish and there is not a doubt Jessie can cut men’s hair. He will be going back, I can’t recommend her enough!

Every once in a while in life, you come across something surprising. For me, Studio 1701 is that sort of place. I needed a haircut but came away with an experience that was totally unexpected. Studio 1701 is a small, one-room nook in a small salon called The Refinery Collective. At the time of my appointment, the salon was undergoing some exterior remodeling amidst which Studio 1701 was a quiet little oasis. The stylist, Jessie, sat me in the chair and handed me an alcohol-free customized drink menu (by the way, read everything! "...because no empire ever started on decaf!") and stepped out for a moment to prepare it, leaving me a few moments to take in the surroundings.
