I had such a great experience here and feel like just one appointment with Sherry completely changed the game for my curls. I have always really struggled with not liking my hair, feeling frustrated with how it looks, and not knowing how to properly style it. I really appreciated the learning experience that came with the cut, color, and style appointment. Sherry sent me all the links to styling tip videos, personalized styling instructions, and links to all the products she used. She also set up my phone camera to record the training process so I could reference it later. I enjoyed that she listened to what I wanted and in result I feel amazing about myself. My hair has truly never looked better. I have received more compliments on my hair in the past week than I have in the last 3 years

Sherry is fantastic! She has amazing knowledge on hair care and listens so well so that she can help her clients attain their hair goals! She is teaching me all about how to care for my new curly hair and I’m excited and no longer overwhelmed! In addition she is an amazing, fun human being that I could talk to for hours ❤️

Sherry is the GOAT! She is friendly, accommodating, color wizard and a master of curly hair! She and her second hand lady, Grace, make an excellent team. Highly recommend to all curly hair women and anyone who needs color 💕

This review requires some backstory Long story short, I first came to Sherry a couple years ago with a grown out buzz cut. I left Straight Up Curls a bad review after our first appointment. Let me say, Sherry did not, I repeat, did NOT deserve that review at all! Now: despite Sherry not even thinking my hair was wavy, despite the impression I had made after the first time we met. She took my appointment. She accommodated me. Even adjusting her usual detox routine to be able to fit all detox, haircut & styling in one day. I really enjoyed conversating with Sherry. She invited my grandfather into her suite & was excited to reveal the final product to him. Her customer service is top notch, not to mention her extensive professional background!
