I used to be a loyal client here, always going to Steve. He gave great haircuts, and I even left him a glowing 5-star Yelp review years ago. But that changed when one day Steve wasn’t available and his wife Angel cut my hair instead. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. Out of respect and hoping for a solution, I reached out directly—sent pictures, tried to explain. Steve completely ignored me. When I finally got him on the phone, he claimed he had no idea what I was talking about. There was no apology, no concern, no effort to make it right. And after that call? Radio silence. I let it go at the time, thinking maybe it was just a bad day. I had already left a very nice review for him, so why I should go back couple months later and change it? I just let it be like this. By far the best barber shop I have ever been too. I have been coming here for about four years now. Steve and Angel always cut my hair exactly how I want. I have been to other places that want to “give me advice or suggestions “ on how I should cut my hair. I really appreciate the care they take to listen to the customer to provide the best service. Both Steve and Angel do a great job and I always know I will get the cut I want. I really appreciate that they clean all their equipment between customers. I am not a germaphobe, but you never know who was in the chair before you. The shop has a cool eclectic vibe and their music playlist has something for everyone. I moved to Fort Worth 2 years ago from Atlanta, and searched high and low for a barber who could actually do razor cuts, not just say they do, as I had the same person in Atlanta for over 35 years who was excellent at them; so I know, and it makes all the difference in the world with my hair. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find someone located inside a grocery store that was this good; as both Steve and Angel are experts. I will never go anywhere else, and would highly recommend them for any type of haircut that you might need. They are both true professionals, and the environment inside their shop is cool, and a big plus.

I first heard of Straight Razor Steve from a coworker during an assignment in Eastern Europe, back in 2015. I was told about the staff's professionalism and attention to detail that enhanced the unique experience at this shop. Upon my return to the US, I made my first visit to the shop and I was not disappointed. Steve and Angel are excellent at what they do. They take the time needed to get your haircut to your expectations and it does not feel like the typical barber shop that is trying to rush through its customers. As we know, the ongoing pandemic restricts many small businesses from their creativity and the ingenuity that sets them apart. The price may seem high to some, but it is worth every penny and then some!! Steve and his Angel are the most talented barbers I have ever met. They take their time to make sure your cut is perfect...never left with a single hair out of place!! And the atmosphere and conversation adds to the experience that sets the bar others simply cannot meet!! I am going to go get my haircut Tuesday, but I have intentionally gone without a haircut for about 2 months now simply because I haven't been able to make it in to see them and I don't want anyone else cutting my hair!
