John has been tremendously helpful in keeping me healthy as a distance runner over the last year. I’ve struggled post-collegiately to train at a moderate level without getting injured, but over the last year of working with John, I’ve been able to build up my mileage and intensity while staying healthy and feeling the strongest I’ve felt in years. John is great at finding the underlying cause of the issue and treating it via both manual techniques and other physical therapy exercises. I’ve been going to Stiner Massage since May, and honestly, I don’t know if he’s a massage therapist, a magician, or just part-human, part-anatomy textbook. This is way more than a relaxing spa massage—it’s like physical therapy on steroids (but legal ones). He talks through what’s bothering me, tests my strength and mobility like he’s training me for the Olympics, and then fixes me up. One of our shared goals is keeping me healthy and active for my family, and he never lets me forget it. His diagnosing skills are incredible, his professionalism is top-notch, and he somehow manages to make fixing pain almost fun. If you’re active, want to stay active, and don’t mind someone knowing your body better than you do, go see John. You’ll thank me later!

I want to say John Stiner is a miracle worker, but that’s not fair to him: what John does is a science, diagnosing issues on the spot and resolving them expertly. I’ve been seeing John for ~7 year now and have had a number of running- and work-related physical issues that he’s helped immensely with. Not only does John provide great massages, he also often leaves me with some strengthening activities that will help me maintain better moving forward. Whenever I have a tricky issue going on, or am just feeling stressed and out of sorts, I know it’s probably been too long since I’ve seen John. Strongly recommend!

I've been a client of Stiner Massage since last fall due to pain from running. Dr Stiner was knowledgeable and effective. I would definitely recommend him to any runner in the area. Details: I started seeing Dr Stiner because of pain from my marathon training (casual). I had various painful areas on the right side of my body. John was able to identify the cause of my problem through a sequence of tests. His massage brought immediate relief. He also recommended several exercises to help with my balance and target some weak muscle. I kept up with the exercise and the result was amazing. I've been able to run pain free after a few sessions and are now running better than ever!
