Static Hair Salon

I’m normally a bit nervous about trying new stylists because my hair texture (thick, stick-straight East Asian) can be surprisingly tricky to work with. Lacy had no problem with it and was super intuitive about interpreting what I asked for (razor-cut French bob-adjacent style). It sounds like she’s had experience with a lot of different hair textures over the course of her career, in case anyone else in Lawrence is looking for someone to trust with their hair. She’s skilled with razor cuts and shaped my hair exactly the way I wanted. I haven’t been so happy with a hair cut in a while! Also I loved the set up of the salon - it’s got nice views of the neighborhood, plenty of natural light.

The atmosphere of this place is awesome! Everyone seems so happy to be there. My stylist, Lacy is incredible at what she does and it surprises me that I haven’t left a review yet, despite my usual reluctance to do so. She always makes getting your hair cut feel like hanging out with a friend, it never feels uncomfortable or awkward and she’s fully invested in the conversation. I’m very indecisive, and she gives great recommendations for hair. She tailors the haircut perfectly to fit my unique hair type, as well as my face shape and style. Usually, all I do is give her a very weak concept, and she transforms it into something I’m happy to walk out with (which is very rare, I spent a long time looking for a good hairstylist in Lawrence). Definitely give her a shot, you won’t regret it!

Debbie is fantastic. I had no idea what to do with my hair. It was so damaged and I have always disliked the brassy red in it. So, I just asked Debbie to do what she thought best. I am beyond thrilled with the results. Debbie is so talented and helped guide me through what would look great and fit in with my lifestyle.

Lacy has been doing my hair (mid back length & curly) for the past 2 years and has always done an excellent job. Whether you're looking to get a simple haircut, layering, color dyeing, blonding, facial waxing, or anything else, she's got the experience to back it up! Would highly recommend!

Lacy is great, I've been going to her for probably 4 years to do my hair. I'm picky with my blonde highlights and she does a great job.
