Update: Mary is still amazing at her job! Any desire on your nails can be accomplished. Designs are detailed. Send a picture of what you want and leave looking amazing. They have every color you could possibly want. Previous: They do good work. Mary did my nails yesterday and really listens to how I want my nails. I got exactly what I asked for. I appreciate that. She also makes good suggestions for me to upgrade my Mani. Kathy has also done my nails, she takes her time and does her best. And waxing is good too, done very carefuly by the head tech. I got SNS powder hygienically placed on my nails with the brush on method rather than dipping. I admittedly spent a lot of money there yesterday, they did not go up on charge just for COVID like other salons. I wish they were still covering the

I’ve come to Star Nails a few times at a recommendation from a friend who grew up in the area - they are efficient and happy to please customers as much as they can. It’s a busy and popular place; and patience and understanding always makes the experience enjoyable for me. I got my nails refilled and gel painted. The nail tech helped me pick a better color and cat-eye effect, which I think is really gorgeous. And they helped straighten out my nail extensions from another salon. I also like that the smell of nail chemicals is not strong and it’s well ventilated.

This was my first and last time coming to this place. First my nail tech I think her name was Kim, told me they don’t do regular manicures but only gel manicure. I thought it was odd but then agreed. I did regular pedicure but she finished in maybe 7 mins. She hardly shaped them (unfortunately I didn’t notice until I got home) and now I don’t trust her to fix them. Once we got to the manicure I asked again if they did regular manicure and she all of a sudden said yes but they will chip easily. I said that’s fine and she had the audacity to tell me she will NOT touch up if they chip there or when I get home. During the manicure she would pull my hand very hard and was just so hostile and rude the whole time. It makes me sad bc all the other clients were getting treated amazing. While check

Went there to remove old acrylics and the women who did it try to pull my acrylic off my nail with nothing but her nail and a fake acrylic nail. Hiw can someone who work with nail not know that this is damaging to the nail bed. And she tried doing that multiple times until I clearly told her to stop. She was not gentle nor is she knowledgeable on proper nail care.
