I was absolutley impressed by the professional experience I had with Avarie at the Myrtle Beach location yesterday! She greeted me, introduced herself while looking me in the eye and with a smile, this is a rare thing nowadays! Then she cut my hair SO WELL, she followed my instructions and was very kind. The employee worked quickly, and had a good amount of conversation but not too much either. I really, really enjoyed looking good again when I left, and feeling like I just went to a bespoke stylist for men. I am going to return, and I will refer this location to friends, family, and clients of mine. Please do something special for Avarie, she has potential and is very good at her work. She was extremely efficient, unbelievably knowledgeable, and for someone like me with a very difficult-shaped head and stubborn cowlicks, she nailed the exact cut I was hoping for — something that rarely happens anywhere else. This location is incredibly lucky to have her. You can tell she brings a wealth of experience and is a true leader on the floor; several of the other stylists naturally leaned on her for guidance, and she was more than willing to help. Took my son to get a hair cut today and got Avery. It was awful. I had to point out a lot of mistakes and we ended up just leaving before it got so messed up it couldn’t be fixed elsewhere. He’s 11 and has cried multiple tines because of how “chopped” his hair is. I’m sure there are some great barbers/stylist there, she is not one of them. Would not recommend.

If you cannot do a haircut based on a reference photo, then say so upfront. Do not tell customers that you can handle it if you clearly cannot. I showed a specific photo, asked multiple times whether this haircut could be done, and was explicitly told yes. What I got in the end was a haircut done at random, completely different from the reference and with no resemblance whatsoever. This is not a minor misunderstanding — this is pure unprofessionalism. Customers do not come to a barbershop to be experimented on. If a stylist does not have the skill to replicate a haircut from a photo, they are obligated to say that before picking up the clippers, not after ruining someone’s appearance.
