Sport Clips Haircuts of Gulfport

Dear Manager, I am writing to formally share my experience at Sports Clips, Gulfport, MS, which unfortunately resulted in a one-star rating due to poor service and what I believe was improper handling of the waitlist. During my visit, I checked in and waited my turn as expected. I was informed that I had approximately four minutes remaining before being seated with a stylist. While waiting, a stylist named Pearl accepted a guest who specifically requested her. Under normal circumstances, that would not have bothered me at all—I understand that clients can request specific stylists. However, the issue arose when Pearl took that guest even though she already had me on the waiting list and skipped over me entirely. His wait time was over 30 min. My wait time was 4 min. It was my first time to have my hair cut done at this place - The Sport clip Salon. Pearl (hair stylist), she was nice and listened to what I like with my hair and she gave me an exceptional service I ever had - best hair cut, facial and body massage that I was not expecting during the shampoo session. She really took time and checked all angles around my head with careful approach - to ensure everything was perfect, shows dedication and a strong attention to detail. My son has high sensory needs and Ms.Tammy and Ms.Christina accommodated my son without any questions asked. They made him feel welcomed and comfortable it’s been a long time since he let anyone cut his hair but they both made it happen. Very polite and professional my son and I love are hair cuts this will be the only place we go for now on!

Not even a 1star to me anymore. A couple weeks ago I went in because I had a tumor removed from my brain and a little while after the surgery I needed the rest of my hair cut to even out with what the hospital had shaved. " I showed the barber the stitches in my head and explained what needed to be done". They said ok they could do it. What they did was cut my stitches and made it bleed and still charged me. I was emailed a survey and filled it out with my disappointment. I got a call to come in and I could get a refund from them. My wife and I went in this morning and they did not even know how to give us the refund. They took our payment information and said it would be around 5 days because they had to figure out how to do it. We still have had no call stating if it had been done yet. "

I love that I can make an appointment online and I don’t have to sit there and wait. I can check in and then walk up to get serviced within minutes. This location is only a half mile from my house so it’s very convenient. Christina is very nice and easy to talk too. She makes good recommendations about my hair and is willing to try anything new, with my permission, of course. She always recommends product that is good for my hair and helps making it easier to manage. I’m glad that she’s staying at this location and I look forward to seeing her often.
