I have had my hair cut and styled and colored by Maggie Lewelling for years and she does an excellent job I would not go to anyone else. She is always on time and very professional. I love how she styles it and the colors that she does is amazing. I always get a lot of compliments after I go there and I always tell everyone who does my hair and I hope that she gets more business because of that as she is very deserving. I will not go anywhere else as she is great at her job!! Thank you Maggie!!!

Spoke SLO is fortunate to employ some of the most talented artists on the central coast. They offer a top of the line, personalized experience at affordable rates. My personal favorite? Lindsay Strawn. If I had to sum Lindsay up in three words: Attention to Detail (and an amazingly genuine human being!). She’s been my stylist for over seven years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lindsay is attentive, receptive, and takes her time to perfect my cut/color. Without a doubt, she can create ANY style you’re looking for with ease and has the experience to handle every type of hair, regardless of the stress you’ve put it through. There are two professionals I am totally anal about—my eye doctor and my hair stylist. I’m lucky to have had great optometrists and hair stylists over the years but I usually do a lot of research ahead of time. Usually, but not this time... I responded to a FB post offering a free haircut. I haven’t had my hair done in over 4.5 years and thought it might be time to have something done with my long icky hair. After ANGELA ROMERO offered me the haircut, I immediately looked her up and if you’ve read any of these reviews, I don’t need to reiterate all of her great qualities—I found them all to be true! 💕. She did a wonderful job, has a great eye for what would look great on me and it was over an awesome experience. GOOD haircuts are expensive (honestly, it’s why I stopped getting it cut)

I've been coming here since 2011 when I moved back to town. I loved the quaintness and relaxed atmosphere.....that is until about 8 months ago when the Court Street location was closed and the Broad Street location remodeled. The ambiance has changed drastically. It is cold, frantic, impersonal and just not a pleasant experience any longer. The chairs at the shampoo sinks are horribly uncomfortable. The walls are stark. I have had excellent stylists over the years. They are THE BEST but I will soon be moving on. If atmosphere is not important to you, than this is a 5 star salon. If you want the whole package, look elsewhere.
