Spavia Day Spa - San Ramon

I went to Spavia Day Spa in San Ramon for a 60-minute signature massage and walked out thinking, “Oh, so this is what a proper spa experience is supposed to feel like.” Compared to a lot of the questionable “deal” places around the Bay, this one is on a completely different level. The place is extremely clean — lobby, hallways, massage rooms, everything. You get your own locker, robe, and slippers, and they also provide basics like a comb and mouthwash, which is a small thing but makes the experience feel well thought-out. There are separate men’s and women’s areas with showers, and the overall setup feels organized and professional, not chaotic. Spavia is in a busy strip mall, but once you step in inside and the door closes behind you, it’s all bliss and quiet. I got the orange blossom body scrub and it was so relaxing and my skin felt like baby skin when it was over. The body scrub is not like a Korean body scrub where you get warm water poured over you. At Spavia they remove the scrub warm, wet towels. I prefer the warm water rinse, but this scrub was a wonderful experience on its own. The facility is clean, and the staff friendly and competent. For such a lovely experience the pricing is competitive. I’ve paid $150 or more for a body scrub before and at Spavia it was only $89. I ran across Spavia Day Spa in San Ramon when I was scrolling through Groupon, and I am so glad I did! Although I initially thought it would be a typical spa experience, they really go above and beyond to give you that true relaxing/pampering experience which I feel sets them apart from many day spas around. The lobby was very welcoming and clean. They have a really beautiful area you can change in while providing lockers (as I’m used to changing in the same room the massage is taking place), as well as a stocked shower for after the massage if you’d like to utilize it. The robes and sandals are extremely comfortable, and the sitting area is relaxing and stocked as well with snacks and drinks. I am so glad to have found Spavia - right in my neighborhood! I can’t say enough good things about them. I tried their Oxygen Facial with Maddie and it was absolutely amazing! She was great and quite knowledgeable The place was clean, the locker room and relaxing/waiting room was upscale - like that of a hotel resort! I was impressed. At the front desk, Booker was welcoming and showed me around before starting my facial. I will definitely come back to purchase their membership so as to try their massages and do more facials. From the warm welcome from Kristy when I walked in, to the locker stocked with a robe and slippers in the immaculate bathroom, to the beautiful relaxation room…all that was just the prelude to a very relaxing and restorative massage by Christy.
