Spa Nail City

I’ve been coming here for years, but it’s time to move on. The male owner has never been particularly welcoming, but today he was downright rude. He will call you two minutes before your appointment if you’re not there. Today, I told him that we were on the way, but running a few minutes late. We were 5 minutes late at the most. He said that they were very busy (there was one other customer there, and this was at 9am), and that they had a group of 4 coming in 30 mins after us. We were getting adult pedi and kid mani/pedi and would have easily been out of the chair in 30 mins. But instead, he chastised us for being 5 minutes late and said he could only do polish changes for us. Service was very prompt and the staff where super sweet. There isn't a huge selection in terms of color and polish choices, but there is every shade you could want. I did a basic pedicure, it had been a while, so my feet where a mess. The women who was doing the pedicure took her time and made sure I looked fantastic. When she moved onto my nails she was so conciensus, my cuticles look great! The salon is super clean, I'm a nurse and it lives up to my standards. The atmosphere is nice, but a little dated. It doesn't feel industrial or like your friends basement where she has some nail equipment; it was comfortable and professional. Again this time, I just did a basic pedicure, but I'm excited to try out their other services. I'll be going to this salon from now on. Edit: I did go back to

The owners (both man and woman) are not only rude but also racist. He told me in my face that I cannot have a manicure when the whole salon was empty. One of the girls was getting ready to help me when he decided that there were no more appointments. He mistreats both employees and customers. I've been coming here for years only because is one block from my house, but it is the most unpleasant place to have a manicure.

I have been twice now. I was disappointed the first time but thought I would give them another try. Nope. More expensive than any other nail salon around and both times, my no chip manicure lasted 1 week. The staff have no personality and it’s so awkward sitting there.
