I came to get a consultation here for my wisdom teeth. I came in sat down and we went over the procedure. Towards the end of the procedure Dr Choi states with no remorse or expression… that I could potentially have nerve damage permanently to the bottom of my lip. Now although this is realistic and a possibility I just expected more of a comforting response. The information was provided so cold with no emotion as if that’s not a big deal. Once he left his assistant said “ are you okay ? I know that’s hard to hear” i stated “ yes I’m okay” knowing deep down i was distraught but thankful that she was concerned and even asked. My two experiences with this doctor was very uncomfortable. The initial appointment and the actual day to get my wisdom tooth pulled, Dr. Michael Choi shows a great deal of irritation in his face and body language. He’s very short and irritable with his responses. Sometimes, he just nods his head yes or no due to him being so annoyed. Also, this was my very first time having any surgery in my entire life! I had NO clue how this would go. Dr. Michael Choi was not vocal at all during the procedure to make me feel comfortable. For an example, I did not know when I would get stuck with a needle to be numb, which needle would hurt more than the other, when a tooth has been removed and when we were moving on to the next. I was scheduled for a consultation on February 19. My daughter and I arrived for our appointment only to find a note on the door stating that the office was closed on February 19 and 20. No one contacted us in advance to notify us of the closure or to reschedule the appointment. As a result, we took time out of our day unnecessarily and were left without any communication or guidance. I find this experience to be highly unprofessional. Due to the lack of notice and communication, I will not be returning to this location for services.
