I had a great experience getting my hair cut by Rob at Sonder Hair Studio. I’d been hesitant about getting my hair cut since moving to Philly from NYC. After reading reviews of Sonder, I decided to take the plunge and am glad I did so. The price was reasonable and the cut itself was stellar. Highly recommend.

Rob has a great eye for detail and really takes his time. In the 10 years I’ve been going to him, every haircut has been excellent, no matter the style. Whenever I fly in from the West Coast, I always make sure to go out of my way to visit.

I’m gonna say Rob will do your hair right!! I had just moved to Philly and needed to find a new barber. I’m happy that I did my research which led me to Rob’s studio. I’ve had two haircuts with Rob both about a month apart, and the quality is there every time. The first time I had him do my sides with an undercut and fade. Having him give you fade, there is no doubt you will feel the care and effort he puts into giving you an excellent fade. Today, I had him do the trickiest part of my permed hair. Cutting and layering the top! His attention to detail on what you want is the most comforting part of the whole experience. Yes, a haircut with Rob is an experience. I've been getting my haircut exclusively with Rob for the past several years and was sure to keep going to him as he opened up his own studio. Rob's attention to detail is unprecedented, where you know, during your appointment, he'll do his absolute best to not only give you the haircut you asked for, but make constructive suggestions along the way. I had an amazing hair cut here - quite possibly, the best hair cut ever? I signed up for a full balayage and a hair cut. Rob emailed me beforehand to discuss thoughts for my hair, to ask for pictures, and if I had any questions. I had mentioned, when booking it, that I couldn't hear well and Rob also checked to see if there was anything he could do to make that aspect easier. When I arrived, Rob took me in immediately and did a brief consultation with me beforehand to look over pictures I had, what thoughts he had on coloring, etc. He was straightforward and thorough in his explanations, which I really appreciated!
