Somers Nails

This is not my first time coming to this nail salon, but it sure will be my last. Every time has been getting worse and worse. I try to give people a second chance and since this place is convenient, I was willing to give it a few. It is not only poor in quality of products, but in service and the price is not cheap. Yesterday, I had an appointment, showed up on time and as usual, they were running late. I had a simple manicure, paid ahead of time, even gave a tip ahead of time. I also paid extra for "quick dry". I was sitting there a while under the dryer, they checked my nails and said I was good to go. I got in my car, looked down and saw this...melting, bubbling, gross looking polish on my nails. I absolutely love the ladies at Somers Nails. They are the most professional and talented manicurists/pedicurists I have found in over 10 years living in the area. Great extras, like massages too!

Tried this place because I was in a pinch my normal two salons I go to were closed on Labor Day. The pedicure I received was fine but this place does not know how to do a SNS dip manicure. All my nails are bumpy and thick- they don’t look natural and to top it off you see every ridge and line from the top coat. I even went back for them to “fix” it and it looks exactly the same. I’ve been getting dip manicures for over 5 years and by far the worst one I’ve ever received.

I went here for a manicure a few weeks ago and they convinced me to do the gel polish. That it won't ruin my nails. So I went for it. I came back 2 weeks later to do them over and they field them so much the first time and then even more the second that my nails were on fire. They are so weak, cracked, brittle. They absolutely ruined my nail beds. Soaking them off now at another place now is burning my nails because they can't even be filed. I will never ever go back to somers nails.

Great service, Michelle did my nails and she is fantastic! Love them. Came in as a walk in and did a full set, will be returning.
