Somatic Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

I recently had a disappointing experience with SoleCal Barefoot Massage. I booked an appointment more than 28 hours in advance but failed to realize that the location was over 1.5 hours away from me. As soon as I noticed this, I contacted the company to cancel the appointment right when they opened at 10am exactly 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, I was informed that their policy does not allow for refunds, only rescheduling. Ashley, the representative I spoke with, was firm in her stance, repeatedly citing company policy. While I understand the need for businesses to protect themselves against last-minute cancellations, I find it unreasonable not to offer a refund when the cancellation was made promptly and well in advance. I absolutely love Sara and crew at Sole Shine. I was a bit skeptical of barefoot massage in the beginning, but after my experiences so far, I'll never book another kind of massage. I love the quiet warmth and welcoming atmosphere of the studio, and every therapist I have tried so far has been wonderful. The partnership program is a great option for making sure you are taking care of yourself and your body monthly. Huge fan!

I've been going to Sara since I stumbled on her shop in 2018. From day one I was hooked on ashiatsu. I haven't had a "normal" massage since that day. Recommend for anyone wanting to experience a different type of massage to book with Sara.

I got a 60-minute massage today and it was incredible. Sara was able to work through tight areas of my body with ease. The place was a cool, renovated historic building which added to the unique experience. I’ll definitely be back - next time for 90 minutes.

I love the ashiatsu massages I get at Sole Shine - perhaps the best I’ve gotten - and I was a massage therapist and instructor for years. Each therapist has a slightly different style and personality, so though you can plan to get a great massage from each, you may find one that suits your needs or personality best. I have also done a Thai yoga session in attempts to gain some flexibility, but it would take multiple sessions for that to happen with me. It was a nice change of pace though.
