Soda African Hair Braiding

I did not receive any services at this hair salon/shop. However, my friend did and she experienced terrible service. For starters her appointment was originally at 9am, she arrived at the salon on time and one of the Braiders had another client in the chair and asked if she could come back at 12:30 and she would give her a “BIG” discount for the inconvenience. She returned to the shop a little before 12:30 and the same client was still in the chair and the Braider informed her this time that it wouldn’t take long as she only had 3 braids left. Once it was finally time for her to be seated her hair did not get started on until after 1pm, Closer to 1:30pm. This not only was unprofessional but took up her entire DAY. If soda is not there or doing your hair it’s a hard NO & PASS! I got Knotless boho braids the boho which was extremely greasy due to them putting a handful of grease on it came out the same day. Still coming out the braids were sloppy & uneven they don’t tie knots on the ends. Pull and tug on hair and always have dirty combs with other peoples hair in it. I even went back for her ppl to so call fix it they did absolutely nothing but curl and cut my hair even shorter then I already wanted it. Y’all can keep the hype sodas is very overrated and she’s or her workers are not professional and overcharge and don’t forget LAZY. I WILL STICK TO GINAS OR ELSEWHERE! TRASH

I loved loved LOVED my hair. I asked for medium and they gave me small so I feel like it was worth the price it was $200 because I got extra length and they were fast and efficient! Got done in 5hrs max. Soda was super sweet and welcoming and it was one more lady helping!!! WILL be back.

My appointment was pushed back 4 hours and they were only trying to take off $20. Tried to block me from leaving as if I wasn’t going to pay. Blocked the door. I grace so much grace and was not met with understanding I will not return nor do I recommend. I have never been so disrespected. I would give 0 stars if I could. The work is good but the people are terrible and honestly the time wasn’t worth it. 0 professionalism and it be yo own people. Too bad they couldn’t bully me into paying what they wanted. I luv soda I’ve been going to her over 15yrs my hair is always nice and the price is very affordable. I would recommend anyone to go here for braids 🫶🏽
