I absolutely love Smudged and truly can’t imagine going anywhere else. The salon has such welcoming, positive, and uplifting energy. Amy is exceptional at her craft. She always listens carefully and understands exactly what I’m looking for. My most recent haircut is perfect and truly complements my face shape and natural texture. I always appreciate the consistency and high-quality results I receive at every visit. I would highly recommend Amy and Smudged to anyone looking for a welcoming environment paired with professionalism and high standards.

Smudged Hair Studio is amazing! The environment is so welcoming and friendly. I have been going to Natalie for 3 years now. My main service is lash extensions, brow tint, and threading. I also do facials and your skin will thank you. She is BEYOND amazing. She is talented, honest, detail oriented, and makes sure you are always comfortable. I have such sensitive skin and all the products used are so gentle. You can tell that everyone here truly loves what they are doing and really wants what’s best for the client!

If you’re as picky as I am, you know the struggle of finding a stylist you can actually trust—especially when you're new to the Pittsburgh area. A friend recommended Amy about 5 years ago and I have never looked back! She is truly the best at what she does. I always leave feeling so confident and happy with my color/cuts/extension move ups etc. which, honestly, was a rare feeling for me at other salons in the past. The studio itself is clean, chic, and always provides a great experience. The front desk staff is always so welcoming and makes you feel right at home. While Amy is my go-to, I’ve seen a few of the other stylists when she wasn't available, and they are all fantastic. Miranda welcomed my 21 year old daughter who has Autism to get her hair cut and styled. She has been going to Sharkey’s for kids as that was the only place I knew that could handle my daughter. Miranda was kind, had conversation with my daughter and gave her a comb to comb her Barbie’s hair while she had her own hair done. We have gone twice very successfully so far and love how Miranda and the rest of the staff put me at ease as a mom and make my daughter feel included. I told Miranda working with clients on the spectrum is a gift of hers!

She consistently delivers beautiful results and truly listens to what I want. Within the last year or two, I’ve also started seeing Kristi, and she is just as incredible. I would trust either of them without hesitation — they are both so talented and professional. The salon itself has the best vibe — it’s clean, trendy, and stylish while still feeling warm and welcoming. You genuinely feel accepted and comfortable the moment you walk in. I usually get balayage, and every single time it turns out amazing. The color, blending, and overall finish are always perfect. If you’re looking for a salon you can fully trust, this is it!
