Smitty's Seaway Barber Shop

While staying with a relative having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, I found a need for a walk and a haircut. Consulting Google maps, I found the closest barbershop to be Smittys Seaway Barber Shop. Even better it had glowing reviews on Google search. When I arrived at Smittys, I found it to be a business with an entirely black staff and like clientele. In spite of being silently greeted with looks ranging from astonishment to revulsion, I decided to ignore the racial devide and boldly present my (presumed) non racism and get my hair cut. I smiled politely whenever my glance met a strangers but was ignored or scowled at. Big signs were posted stating the shop’s policy: “First come... First serve... RESPECTIVELY!”. With knowing winks exchanged between barbers, I was passed over seven times

Feels like home. I've been going there since I was a kid. I'm 37 now and I still go. Great place, great prices, great barbers and just an all around positive atmosphere.

Every one that works there makes you feel like family. I've been getting my hsir done there since I was a child. I'm 38 and still going!!!

Wonderful place great customer service my son's go there frequently.

My barber just moved here but I've been here before nice place gives you that old-school vibe that's been long gone from barber shops now days.
