Small City Nail & Spa

I never had to leave a negative review before, but I am so in shock after what happened at Small City Nails & Spa on Monday, October 6, 2025. I brought my 10-year-old daughter in as a walk-in, which this salon clearly advertises that they accept. We even traveled from another town to come specifically to this salon because we had heard good things and wanted to make it a special treat for her. She had already picked out her nail color and was so excited because she had been waiting for this moment for almost two months. About a month ago, she had foot surgery after an emergency room visit, and ever since then she had been patiently waiting until her foot healed. I had a manicure and pedicure on Friday. It’s now Monday. Two of the nails have slid off of one hand. The other hand has chipped nails. I would never come back. This is unacceptable for all that I paid, I would expect my nails to look good for at least a couple of weeks on my vacation.

I have been here three times for pedicures. The first time, I brought my own polish. The pedicure was pleasant and polish lasted for over a month and warranted five stars. The second time, the polish smeared as soon as I left the salon after waiting for it to dry for twenty minutes. I returned and just a few toes were redone; I figured I just wouldn’t book any future pedicures. However, I did return a few weeks ago for a pedicure. Two toes totally lost their polish the next day right before I left for a week’s vacation. I will not return.

Absolutely terrible! My daughter and I had our toes only painted.. it was $65.00!! I could have got a full pedicure for that!! They look absolutely terrible. My pinky toe is only painted half! She painted the rest of my toe with clear gel, like literally the toe not the nail... The place is dirty and she was mad because I only gave her $7.00 tip! She’s lucky that she got that.! And I don’t want your week old grapes! In a cup that looks like it’s been reused!!

I asked for gel nails and they gave me and overlay, which mid course is more expensive. As someone who doesn’t get their nails done I didn’t know this ahead of time. On top of it my nails were horribly thick and misshaped l. After just a few days my pink manicure started turning another color like it was absorbing dye or something. Then my pedicure didn’t last 48 hours before it started peeling. Pretty sure they charged me for gel pedicure when I didn’t get that. I’ve had pedicures last me weeks without chipping before, this was the most expensive mani pedi I’ve had, and shortest lasting. They asked me to call the store and when I did they had no idea what I was talking about. Ridiculous
