Sit Still Kids Salon Long Island - Port Washington

I took my 2-year-old daughter for her very first haircut, and I was honestly so nervous I didn’t know if she would sit still or get scared. But this salon made the whole experience amazing. As soon as we walked in, they were so sweet and welcoming. They let her pick which little car she wanted to sit in and even asked what movie she wanted to watch — that alone made her so excited and comfortable. The whole team was patient, gentle, and genuinely kind, which means everything when it’s your toddler’s first big experience like this. Her haircut came out so cute, and we both left super happy. We’ll definitely be coming back! 💗✂️😊

I had such a wonderful experience with TYGA for my daughter’s first haircut. TYGA was incredibly special with my daughter—so personable, patient, and attentive. She truly made the experience enjoyable and memorable. I really appreciated how much I could trust her expertise, especially since my daughter has curly hair. She took the time to do it right, and my daughter genuinely loved her first haircut, which means everything to me as a mom. Tyga has been cutting all 3 of my of my kids hair for over a year now. My kids LOVE her and she always does a fantastic job. My boys actually ask to go get their haircut. The salon is so clean and welcoming. Can’t recommend Sit Still kids enough!

I had a really disappointing experience at this salon when I brought my child in for a haircut. My child has naturally curly hair, and unfortunately the stylist didn't seem to understand how to properly handle or cut curly textures. The haircut was uneven, poorly shaped, and clearly not suited for curly hair. As a parent, you trust a salon to take care and be knowledgeable about different hair types, especially when it comes to kids. Instead, the result was frustrating and upsetting. Curly hair requires specific techniques, and it felt like that knowledge just wasn't there. I really hope the salon invests more training in working with textured and curly hair, especially for children. Sadly, I wouldn't return based on this experience.

I had my daughter's first hair salon experience, I have to say she came out happy. They added a sparkly hair string (not sure what it's called) but it was a perfect addition since she's been asking about coloring her hair. Its a bit pricey for kids haircut $50 for wash and cut but everyone was very professional and friendly. We had a great experience, they also added a glitter tattoo.
