Sims Barber Shop

Been getting my haircut by the same barber for over 35. Then i moved. I found Simms by walking in town. It looked like a real deal barber shop like i have known. I went in and sure enough. The real deal. Glad i found this place. Great haircut .

My hubby had his hair cut at Sims Barber Shop today. Mr. Sims did an awesome job! First haircut my husband and I have been satisfied with for several years now! Finally found the perfect barber!!!!!

Went there for first time today on a Saturday around 12. In a day where big chain and hurry up get them in and get them out hair places are abundant these days this was a wonderful experience. It’s a place where time stands still and a haircut is a haircut and good conversation is great! No wait time great haircut and for a cost that is unheard of now a days. I paid $10 for my haircut and was very happy with it! On top of that Mr. Sims said he has been there 30 some years which is fascinating to hear a small local business sticks it out through thick and thin! During our conversation today I found out today was his birthday but he was still there waiting to take care of the community and visitors needs! This place has a lot of history and fun to be in an old school barbershop for an experience. However, I would not go there for a great or even a good haircut. I am sure Mr. Sims was a very good barber back in the day, but that day has passed. He does not use scissors, I assume due to potentially arthritis issues. He only uses a trimmer and at times unable to locate the proper length attachments. The haircut does not have a nice finish, it is sloppy and he misses areas on your head and so it looks uneven. It's truly time to retire.

Awesome experience. Mr. Sims did a great job and held an even greater conversation. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews because this man is an artist with the clippers. The only negative I could possibly come up with is the outdated white wall around my ears. I'm not even mad at that because the last 3 expensive cuts I got at other places missed around my ears almost completely.
