Simply Cuts Barber Shop & Salon

Genuinely the worst haircut I have ever received. Did not get the kind of cut i wanted at all. Asked for a low drop fade. Did not fade the haircut whatsoever. Barely trimmed the sides towards the bottom. Left the sides long towards the top. Like the clippers never went above the lower part. Was not faded in the slightest the way up. Said skin was fine did not go down to skin. I get if you can’t cut hair a certain way but rather than saying you can and messing up just say you cant.

Iv been a patron to this barber shop for the last 3 years and rarely had problems until I recently went there for a basic low fade. The only barber on staff at the time was sleeping in the back. Already it felt like an unprofessional interaction. The haircut they gave me was not entirely the issue although it was very much NOT to my liking (she gave me a bowl cut when i had asked for a low fade with very little bulk). I stopped the barber at some point in the haircut and told her not to cut my hair that way anymore so she finished up after several attempts to get it right. I left unsatisfied with the haircut she gave me and went to Junes down the street and they fixed it. I took my son to get a cut here on 8/25/23 and the barber nicked his ear and didn’t say anything until I noticed him cleaning off the blood with a napkin. The barber also dropped a part of the clipper in the garbage and picked it right back up and sprayed it with something once and clipped it right back up and continued trimming. When I asked him if he cleaned his tools after every use he was vague and I didn’t see any cleaning supplies. I contacted the owner but they never responded. I would not recommend them on lack of hygiene alone not to mention poor professionalism.

Being new is fine. But this one woman has been there for at least a year, since I moved to Hubert. I wait for one person to get a mid fade for an hour. And I’m expected to wait another hour for her to give me a simple low fade? Nah, just go somewhere else. Oh, and stopping in the middle of a cut to hit your vape is crazy.

I understand new barbers need to practice. Twice, I have been stuck with new barbers that have taken 1hr + to complete a simple low fade haircut. Today I had to leave in the middle of my cut (I gave a time warning after about a half hour in the chair) and was told to just come back to finish the cut. I have no time today. I am now forced to continue my day with half of a haircut. No apology, discount, or recourse was offered.
