Shumbat's

I’m not one to leave reviews as I often don’t think of leaving a review in a culture where every company I visit or call asks for one. I saw this place was open until 8 PM which is rare in Williamsport for a barber to be open so late. I decided I’d give it a shot as I’ve been here periodically over the years and was satisfied. Today I went into the shop and felt a little uncertain what to do with my hair as I just recently started growing it out. I was nervous as I sat down looking at all of the different inspirations I could find online I saved a few I thought would probably look good. As I sat in this quaint little barbershop with three people ahead of me I took notice of the Tv being played at a low but respectable level as to not cut off the conversation. My son is a nightmare when getting his hair cut but Shumbat's was so kind and patient with him and was very accommodating to my little guy's sensory needs! Most importantly my kiddo's cut made him look even more handsome than he already was 🥰

This review comes several months after my haircut, often I don't have a good experience I just let it go and never post a review however every time I think of my experience here I get upset. After waiting a good bit, I was third in line and only one barber, I didn't mind, what I did mind what the way he would talk to customers on the phone when they called. Now I rarely get my haircut professionally, I typically cut it at home. So it's always a little treat. When I got in the chair, I said oh I have a picture of what I would like. I was told I don't got time to wait on you to pull up a picture. Never again would I waste my money here. The haircut wasn't bad but the vibe an attitude is enough to leave a sour spot in my stomach for a while.

Usually always a good experience. However today 7/19/25 I planned my day to begin with a haircut shop scheduled to open at 7am. Showed up at 645. One person already waiting While I waited observed 8 vehicles come in and leave. I decided after 45 minutes of waiting to find another barber. Had a great experience and found a new shop. FYI Tony was on vacation.

Great cuts, at a fair price. Tony is a fantastic barber. Been going there for years, and will continue to do so as long as they're in business.
