So glad to have finally found Short Hair Express last month as I continued searching on Google for past year for a salon & stylist in ATL skilled short hair, so hard to find! Gypsy gave me a great short pixie cut! Glad I didn't have to fly back to NYC & go to my old Brooklyn salon after all. I will add that this is the most efficient & shortest time I've spent in a black hair salon for a touch up, color & cut in under 4 hours!Timing was sharp, I wasn't sitting only for 5 minutes before Gypsy came and sat me in her chair asking about how wanted my short pixie style. Gypsy is an amazing hair stylist and did a gave me great hair cut, a tad bit shorter than my prior pixie length. But all good as growing out nicely and will be back for sure! I’m from Texas, and while visiting family in Atlanta, I needed my hair done. After doing some research, I came across Short Hair Express and decided to book with Anissa because she had some of the best reviews on their site. I’m so glad I did, because she did not disappoint! Anissa styled my pixie cut phenomenally and really tailored the look to fit my face. She was very friendly and professional throughout. The salon was crowded that day, so there was a bit of a wait, but I didn’t mind at all because I could see how busy they were. Even with that, she still managed to get me in and out in a timely manner. Whenever I’m back in Atlanta, Anissa will definitely be my go-to stylist. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a sharp, polished cut and a stylist who truly knows what she’s doin

The shop itself is very clean and the staff is friendly but I’m leaving a low review because Shawn over processed my hair gave me 2 relaxers in 2 weeks. I asked him to do a certain style and came out with a totally different style. If he wasn’t able (which I’m sure he is) he should have communicated that with me. I’m new to pixie world and I feel like I got taken advantage of. On top of that, it isn’t any parking! To say the least, I am happy I found Shelly4hair she corrected Shawn’s mistakes on my hair!

This was my first time visiting this salon. The stylist did a nice job on my hair and the final look was cute, however my experience at checkout left a bad taste. I booked online for a Big Chop ($200) and added a $35 semi-permanent color, with a $60 deposit paid upfront. Based on that, my remaining balance should have been $175. At checkout, I was told my total was $220. When I questioned it, I was told a demi-permanent color ($55) was used instead of the semi-permanent color I booked — a service I did not request or approve. Even with that explanation, the math still did not add up, and my deposit was not properly accounted for. My first visit with Short Hair Xpress was phenomenal!!!! From the moment I walked in the door until the time I left. I found Shawn on TikTok and Kindra on IG so I decided to get the Big Chop. Shawn did a big one on my hair. I love love love it!!! He’s very attentive and strives to give you what you want!!!! I scheduled my next appointment before leaving. I purchased everything I needed for care in the salon and Shawn made sure he explained care instructions that for my lifestyle for my new cut. I can’t wait to go back!!!!! Note: The shampoo tech, I can’t remember her name, was amazing!!!! Overall 5 Star experience!!!
