Shimmer is one of my absolute most favorite shops to visit when I’m downtown! I’ve gotten so many incredible gifts for people there over the years and even got my mom hooked on some of the beauty products. And most importantly, Katie, the shop owner, is an absolute doll who is a wonderful example of a smart entrepreneurial woman who empowers and supports other women in business, which is important to me. I recommend Shimmer to everyone!!

Clean Beauty, skincare, jewelry and more! Kate’s Shop Downtown is one of a kind. She has helped change my way of beauty and skincare and helped me find products that worked for my skin type. Shimmer is amazing! This store sells makeup, skincare and jewelry, all high quality. And the customer service is beyond great - Kate personalizes the products to your skin tone. And the products are non toxic! An absolute gem of a shop, and great addition to downtown New Bedford.

Shimmer is one of the reasons I love Downtown New Bedford! The shop itself is stunning and such a great environment. Kate is always super helpful when I’ve come looking for new products. She helped me find a new lip color last year and it was so perfect, I had to get it again!! Shimmer has everything self-care and home-care: you can literally get all you need for skin and hair, as well as candles, laundry soap, and perfumes. The best part is everything is ethically- AND well-made. Shipping and order pickup are super efficient too. Once you visit Shimmer, you won’t go anywhere else for your beauty and skin care products!

I cannot recommend Shimmer enough! We decided to plan a wedding in 2 weeks and I reached out to Shimmer last minute to see if they could help with event makeup. They were SO accommodating for us, even meeting us early so we could make it to the ceremony on time! We loved getting to hang out in their adorable shop while we had our makeup done. Kyla was a delight. We all felt so beautiful and we're so happy we were able to support a local business in the process! Thanks so much for everything, you guys are the best!
