Shelly's Esquire Barber Shop

I've been going to Shelly's every 2-3 weeks for a year now and have never gotten a bad cut/beard shaping. About the only downside is that she's popular so at busy times expect a wait. She is a smoker (never in the shop) so if you're super sensitive to smoke I guess you might not want to go here. Personally I don't mind and have never found it to be an issue in any way. I'm happy to give her a hearty recommendation. Update 2/2022: Its been a few years since I wrote my review so I thought I'd update it. Shelley's now in a new space that's nice and easy to park at. Still cranking out good cuts. For my $ there's no place better.

Julia is the best barber I have ever experienced. She approaches a haircut with the focus and precision of a scientist, has dozens of relevant hair-cutting tools, and treats customers with gentle, gracious, care. Give this barber a try! My guess is that you will not go anywhere else.

I was driving down West Main Road one day in 2017 and saw the signs for Shelly's shop. I gave it a shot and discovered that I had stumbled upon a barber with an old school work ethic and sense of service. Shelly is attentive, friendly, and has an excellent memory of who you are and what your style is. She's talented at her job, takes pride in her work, and consistently has cut my hair to a high standard. I find her price to be a real bargain for a male haircut; it includes a straight razor on the neck and a hot towel. The perks, her attention to detail, and talent keep me coming back.

They have the cheapest prices in my area and the haircuts are great. I've never had an issue going there. Both barbers make sure they know exactly what you want and won't let you leave if you're not happy with the cut.

This women is absolutely unprofessional not only does she stink like cigarettes but I could tell she was completely high as a kite as she cut my hair nodding off to a point where she even cut me with her straight razor as she trimmed my beard… I don’t no how she even stays in business what a complete lack of any type of class at all. Unfortunately I wanted to give her zero starts but it makes you give her at least one to write a review, if your smart you wouldn’t use this barber, I would have been ashamed of myself if my son had been with me and seen her nodding off the way she was. Can’t even imagine running a business this way and the haircut itself was not even how I asked to get it cut. All and all completely unsatisfied visit enough to want to waste my time making a review over how aw
