Shear Platinum Salon

I wanted to love this place since it truly has great reviews and gives off the good vibes. I called for a child’s haircut and was told $25 and asked if they could work with curly hair, they said yes. We arrive at our appointment time and there’s someone in the seat. Okay that’s okay. We don’t get to the seat until 4:13 and she starts to try and dry cut. I ask about the wash? She had no plans and said it costs more. I ask if she will straighten it and she says no. A $25 cut turned into $48, not styled, and we didn’t walk out until 4:46. She was so nice though so I will give them that and I feel bad writing this review but we had plans to get a slightly cheaper cut since it was a baby trim when we could’ve gone to our regular location and paid the same but with better amenities. Two stars f

Jazmyn John colored my hair. She did an excellent job. My hair felt so soft afterwards and never did dry out the ends. The color she put on was perfect. She did a great job and I would definitely return. The shop is set-up very nice inside and was very welcoming.

I have been going to April since I was in high school. She is the best hairstylist around! I always leave happy with my hair! She’s great with kids as well! She’s cut 2 of my kids hair and has done a wonderful job with each of them! The salon is always clean and well kept. *Edited to add recent pictures of color. April is the best at coming up with the prettiest colors! I never have to worry about not being happy with the color my hair turns out!!!

Macy is GREAT! I have called her on short notice, and she is so kind to work me in. She makes sure I look my best when I leave and always with a sweet smile. She is very personable and professional. I always look forward to Macy taking good care of me. Susan Gipson

I’ve been going to Shear Platinum for years to see April, and she never disappoints! She’s incredibly skilled, and I always get compliments on my hair—even months after my appointment. I also generally always find some goodies at the front when checking out too.
