Shear Motion

I had been going to Shear Emotion in Fayetteville NY for a few years because that’s where my hairdresser worked. She passes way suddenly so I decided after several months to try someone else in that salon. I have NEVER RECEIVED A WORSE HAIRCUT AND STYLY IN MY LIFE!!! It is truly awful. This person should never be allowed to cut people’s hair. She couldn’t speak English very well and worse yet she obviously didn’t understand English either. When I called to alert the owner of what had happened in her salon she was dismissive of the incident. Saying “I could come in if I wanted and she would look at how bad it was. I explained all of my hair was now gone and I thought she should know this. Her inability to hire and oversee Quality employees and be able to remedy problems caused by hairdres

I just had my hair done for the second time here, and I am disappointed. I prioritize getting the right treatment for my curly hair, if it be cuts and whatnot. My type is 3-A, and the right treatment is necessary since I don’t use heat and always style naturally. The first time, I asked for someone who knew how to cut curly hair, and had a lady who cut, dried, and styled my hair beautifully. The second time, however, when I requested that I get someone who cuts curly hair, she didn’t understand nor take advice from the other stylists well. My hair was styled poorly because they tried to salvage it, but it didn’t work well. I will still go, but I needed to put my story out there. Make sure to check with stylists to make sure they know how to cut, dry, and style curly hair to one’s approval.

i liked the final product of my hair however, my stylist thinned the hell out of my hair without telling me that’s what was being done, and trimmed off what they wanted instead of asking me what i was okay with. Additionally, i was charged for services I was unaware that I was receiving, and only received an “i’m sorry about that”. Poor communication, and at the end of the day my hair looked nothing like the picture I showed. They are lucky I still liked it and still paid because the service was not it🙂

My daughter had her hair done by Liana for her senior prom and she did an incredible job matching exactly what my daughter asked for. I also called in the morning to try to move up her appointment as the timing of her plans changed and they went above and beyond to try to help us. Truly they were all so lovely and the service was equally as amazing.

Liana did an amazing balayage, haircut and style on my thick, long hair. Everyone here is friendly and talented. I’ll be back again. Thank you!
