Shear Madness Haircuts for Kids

My son has only come here twice, but I've been very happy with the results both times. Both ladies that cut his hair did an excellent job. It's clear they are used to working with kids as they are great at moving fast, but being patient at the same time. We'll be back again next time he needs his hair cut!

I have now taken both of my sons here for haircuts and I'm always happy with the haircuts. My youngest has fine, curly hair, so it's nice to have a place that I trust for his haircuts. The stylists are fast, patient, and always listen to what I want. They are good at making recommendations for my son's hair but they aren't pushy and only give advice if I ask.

We enjoyed our experience and since I have 4 girls we will be back soon.

We have always went to Shear Madness in Ankeny. Alicia, the store manager has been cutting our son's hair for over 5 years and does an amazing job. Our son is severely disabled, it is often difficult to provide any type of care to him, but she masters it. She is fast, efficient, thorough, and calming with him.

Typically I have a good experience, however today I did not have one paying . The stylists were great. The receptionist was very rude and impatient. She may not have realized it, but she asked me twice if it was just the haircuts in which I replied “yes”. I told her I had a birthday coupon and she read me my total. I was the only person in line. I couldn’t find the coupon because I’m trying to also make sure my kids don’t break anything . His birthday is in your log in system - I asked “must I have the email” as she was clearly in a hurry (not sure why) and replied with “yes” . Do I really need my coupon for gasp (an entire 2$ off) when his birthday is in your system as you sent me the email and it’s on his log in? Encouraging more grace here and more patience. It’s just sad that she didn’
