Shear Brilliance

I've been going to Shear Brilliance for a couple of years now, and I absolutely love it. The location near Old Town is perfect, and the salon itself is in a charming historic building. Jenny is truly wonderful - she brings so much grace and expertise to her work. No matter what direction I decide to take with my hair, she always does an amazing job. I highly recommend her and the rest of the talented team at Shear Brilliance!

I feel like I won the lottery. Deanna worked me into her full schedule of locals, and I look like I’ve come out of a Paris salon. This is the best hair I’ve had in two years. Deanna listened to my random word salad of how I hoped to be a bit lighter, less grey and many inches shorter in length and somehow created this brilliant cut and color that I love. She has an eye for what will suit you. She really knows hair, and is excellent at asking the right questions to clarify and confirm her clients’ vision of the final look. Great communication. I have been seeing Deanna for over 13 years now, and she is the only person I will trust with my hair. She is talented with color as well as cuts and stays up to date on the newest techniques and trends. She does a fabulous job with my hair, which is fine and doesn't hold color well. She's always open to trying new things and makes great suggestions when I'm feeling stuck in a rut. Her salon is warm and friendly with great product lines and I appreciate the laid back, inviting, non-snobby atmosphere. She can always give me exactly what I want even when I don't exactly know what I want. Deanna has been cutting my hair for years, ever since she saved my hair after a Great Clips disaster haircut. She’s amazing at cutting my curls, gives thoughtful advice based on your personal preferences for maintenance/style/etc, and got the color I wanted exactly right on the first try when I dyed my hair for the first time recently!
