Sharkey's Cuts For Kids- Columbia, MD

We came to Sharkey’s in Columbia for our daughter’s first haircut with Kailleigh. It was the best first haircut we could have hoped for. The salon is so cute and kid friendly. My girl got to choose her seat and pick a show on tv. Kaileigh was incredibly patient and kind. We got the first haircut package which came with a certificate , lock of hair, and photo. My daughter also got a balloon and lollipop. Stress free environment with so much patience for my little wiggle worm. Highly recommend Sharkey’s and Kailleigh.

This was our second time visiting Sharkey’s and our son is still learning to tolerate hair cuts. Kaileigh was fantastic with him. She was patient, but quick as he was quite squirmy and uncomfortable. He loved the Lightning McQueen seat and watching Cars on Disney + while he got his hair cut! Such a wonderful experience.

5 stars for both the place overall and for Kaleigh, the barber my child has visited multiple times now! This location is kept impeccably clean and tidy, they have the best changing table in their restrooms, and they have loads of fun toys for the kids. It’s so much fun that I could happily hangout with my kid for an hour after the cut has finished (and we have). Kaleigh is very gentle and patient with fussy little ones, and she is great at listening to the parents’ feedback. Her passion for her craft and her gift for working with kids are both apparent within minutes of being there.

We went here for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful experience! From the cool cars you get to choose to sit in, to picking what your kiddo wants to watch. Jennifer was amazing, explaining the trimmer and scissors and was so quick and efficient and did SUCH a great job! We were nervous as this was our sons first "big boy haircut" but it looks SO good!! We will be back!!

We did my son (age 2, done by Kayleigh) and daughter’s (age 4, done by Jenna) first haircut and were extremely happy with the experience each time! 100% recommend. The stylists are impressively gentle and patient. The atmosphere is so fun with tv, seats shaped like cars, and a disco ball. In fact, my daughter asked for her first haircut after seeing my son enjoy his. Love it!
