Shanks Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Excellent experience from start to finish. My twin boys had their wisdom teeth removed, and the entire team was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. The doctor, front desk staff, and assistants all went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and felt comfortable. The doctor even called later that evening to check on them, which meant so much to us. Highly recommend!

The staff and dentist are very nice and professional. I asked to keep my wisdom teeth and after the surgery they told me they had already disposed of them, I asked Dr. Shanks if he could do anything to help and he said he would see what he could do, then walked out right in front of me a few minutes later saying nothing. I had to ask the nurse again and she the told that HE had told her their was nothing he could do to give me my teeth after disposal. Take that as you will but paying $1,340.00 out of pocket I expected to at least go home with my wisdom teeth. Again, the staff and Dr. Shanks were very polite and professional leading up to this but I have a very sour taste in my mouth after this experience. Dr. Shanks was extremely professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone! I have had dental work in the past and felt like someone had beat my face but not this time! I’m not even really sore! Will definitely use him for any future dental procedures.

Dr. Shanks did an amazing job with my wisdom teeth removal! He thoroughly discussed everything in the consult and did an incredible job making me feel at peace about the procedure. He even called me a few hours after the surgery to check on how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had! Extremely personable and caring doctor that makes each patient a priority! This group of professionals is the greatest! From the front desk to the back office, nothing but sweet caring people and excellence in oral surgery! I had to go from local anesthesia to full and they handled the transition perfectly even though it crammed into their other procedure times.
