I recently visited this spa & salon and left a tip at checkout. Instead of a simple thank you, the front desk staff began murmuring to the service provider in their language and handed the tip back in an unhappy manner. I asked if everything was okay and barely received a response. Feeling uncomfortable, I gave the tip back again, yet I still did not receive a “thank you” or even a “have a nice day.” After I left, I checked their flyer online and noticed it wasn’t added from the one I was originally sent. The online version mentions a 20% tipping guideline. Had that been clearly communicated, I would have adjusted the tip without issue. Update: Very disappointing experience coming back. I booked a scalp massage with a specific therapist, but the receptionist lied and said she was “off” when she no longer works there. The replacement therapist admitted she’s better at facials, and it showed. The service felt more like a facial than a scalp massage. She used rose oil instead of the herbal massage I paid for, hovered over my face with the steamer making me feel suffocated, skipped conditioner, and even suggested I blow dry my hair while it still had shampoo in it. I still paid and tipped because the real issue is with the establishment, not the therapist’s lack of training. My visit to this massage and head spa was extremely disappointing. From the start, the staff was rude and unwelcoming, making the experience stressful instead of relaxing. In addition, they pushed a 20% tip as if it were mandatory, which was very uncomfortable. I was forced to pay the full $60 for tip they did not agreed with 40$ tip, leaving me with no choice. This felt coercive and highly unprofessional. During the head spa treatment, no hair conditioner was used at all, which is unacceptable for this type of service. Because of these business practices, I will be filing a complaint with the appropriate authorities. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

The scalp massage was out of this world. They used a combination of essential oils, warm steam, and gentle techniques that completely melted away my tension.
