If you have type 4 hair this is not the salon for you!! I went here a few months back for a press and trim on my 4b hair. The press puffed up immediately after leaving and had to be washed after a week. Typically I go to a black woman but she was unavailable and the presses last about 2-3 weeks. My hair is damaged to say the least. I have breakage from the rough combing and extremely high heat’s used. ive lost about 3 inches off my hair and it has become extremely thin due to heat damage. They even offered me a texturized when I was getting my hair washed and aggressively combed without care. I wish I never went I miss my curls and thick hair everyday.

I love these people. I’ve been going to them for 35 years. I followed them from the old salon down the street when Serrano first opened. I go to Tony, their expert barber, but the stylists are friendly, the very best and the prices are reasonable. You must try them!!
