SEPHORA

First time visiting Sephora and I can say from what I heard about it, I was not overly impressed. We were greeted after being there a few minutes, but after that no interaction at all with the staff. Two of them were huddled up at the register and seemed way more interested in being up there talking than following up with us to see if we needed help. The selection of cologne left a lot to be desired. The look of the shelves were riddled with broken bottles and very dusty which shows they are not zoning. I have often heard Sephora is an upgrade to Ulta, and I must say I disagree. Overall not impressed and don’t think I will be going back.

My past experiences here have been good however I went here yesterday and I was looking for a product for 20 minutes and no one talk to me which is extremely strange for a Sephora because usually they are so friendly there and they are always asking if I needed any help and it’s just a great experience, but I was really ticked off when I went in today because I had gotten a designer foundation for $60 a full-size product and it had been pilling up. I bought it on January 14th. Its currently march 3rd. I thought it might be user error but this morning I checked on the bottom of the item and it said that it expires next month. It is a full-size product that would last me usually a year and it’s ridiculous that they would keep it on the floor when it is nearly about to expire because at the t

Decent selection, but the staff clearly is not interested in helping, especially if you're within 30 minutes of closing. When it happened during my last visit (in the middle of the day, by the way) I thought it must be an anomaly. I asked someone for help with creating a sample of a foundation, and when she refused to do so, I let her know I couldn't make a purchase because I didn't want to invest in the wrong color. They lost a sale that day, but I wrote it off as a bad day. Tonight I arrived at 6:30, 30 minutes prior to closing. I crossed paths with 4 different employees, none of whom greeted me, much less offered help. Instead they were chatting amongst themselves while I shade matched myself. I wish I got her name but someone helped me find a really good hair product yesterday. She was very kind and really took the time to look at reviews and help me find what would be best!! And the other worker at the register was very sweet too, helped me go through the points on my many emails and grab something I saw online. I was really pleasantly surprised by how easy and in and out I was, especially tired after work.🙂

In-store service was unhelpful. I was told a product was out of stock both in-store and online, but I found it easily and was able to order on Sephora website the moment I got home. The staff didn't seem interested in actually helping me secure the item. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and the consultants are demonstrating "mean girls" attitude. Save yourself the trip and just shop online.
