On September 22nd, 2025, I witnessed an interaction between the store manager, Tai , and a customer that was deeply concerning. The customer politely asked for assistance locating a skincare product, and Tai responded in a dismissive and rude manner, saying, “It’s all the way in the back on the right-hand side. What do you think, I’m going to go get it? That’s too far.” Her tone was unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional. The moment I heard Tai’s response to that customer I was in shock on how rude she sounded!!!! Later, when the customer found the product on her own, Tai made another sarcastic remark: “See, there you go—it wasn’t that far, right?” and laughed. The customer appeared visibly uncomfortable and upset by the exchange, and I felt compelled to report the incident due to the man

I work near this location (Bay Plaza, Bronx NY) so it’s convenient, however checking out is absolute HELL!! I don’t understand why would the manager have numerous employees on the floor and only ONE cashier?! This past Saturday (Valentine’s Day) around 5pm or so I went to this location to buy some fragrances for my partner, but the line was treacherous!! It wrapped around and around…and around. I didn’t even ask for the colognes bcuz I knew I’d be in there for 30 mins or more just to purchase. Unacceptable. I ended driving across a toll bridge to the Bayside location which had ample amount of cashiers and sales associates on the floor. I was in & out in less than 15 mins. That’s how it should be. Customers should be appreciated not tolerated!!

I felt completely ignored. I walked around looking for help and employees walked past without asking if I needed anything. Because of that, I got the wrong shade and had to guess on my own. Really disappointed with the service here! Would I be returning to this location? Absolutely not! 1/10 experience.

Jocelyn in the perfume area was amazing she was so kind asked me if I needed help which I told her no but I was looking around . She immediately recommended me some perfumes which I loved since , I wasn’t expecting to get anything but she definitely convinced me and that’s good customer service. Both my husband and I walked out with two YSL perfumes .

Unfortunately, this Sephora is the only one near me so when I want to make a convenient in store purchase or color swatch an item I go here. The employees treat you like an inconvenience when you ask for help with an item or need a sample. I am usually told no one is available to help me or to get my own item for a sample. Additionally, the register seems perpetually understaffed. The checkout experience is unorganized and slow. The customer service is so bad that I now drive further just to be treated like a customer or I go to Ulta where I never have that experience.
