Senegal Hair Braiding

I went to get two braids in my hair. Waited over an hour. I showed pictures of how I usually get it and they said they could do it. They did it the first time and it looked like my 5 year old son did it. I told them to redo it and it still looked terrible. Extremely uneven. I have no idea what kind of braid they thought it was but I was so disappointed. Then they still charged me $40. I went straight to gold hair after on markeley and Johnson and she fixed it and did it perfectly. She also couldn't believe they let me walk out looking the way I did and still charged me. Will never go again.

Terrible. First off the place is dirty. There was no one in there when I went so I was able to start right away. I just wanted 2 braids going back. They look terrible and the one side is not even at all to the other side. The stylist braiding technique is odd and because of this the braids don't last. Not traditional African corn rows they looked like some type of "French" braid but that doesn't go with my "African" hair. That was my first and last time. I'll stick to Sow on Marshall street from now on. Learned my lesson real quick.

The lady started my hair 30-45 minutes after my schedule appointment. She didn't braid my hair like the picture I presented. She decided to part my hair the way she wanted and took an hour to part my hair asking me to double check the parts. She asked me multiple time short or long and I repeatedly gave my answer. She was rough and I had to direct her to put gel on my braids and put me under the dryer, the dryer that she did not preheat. The lady also held side conversation while attempting to speak to me in a rude manner. I was unsure at time if she was talking to me or someone else. She also swept up rubber bands that fell on the floor and picked them up for further use. I had a bad experience however I enjoy my hair.

The braided are very fast and keep to promised time to finish. It took the 3 hours for medium length box braids. They were very good, and not tight. I would recommend them to anyone.

The one braider was there and attempted to charge extra $$ once she started. She did the same thing to a relative. Hair was very nice at the end of the day. Overall, took about 3 hours longer than she said. I would go back and would recommend - but make sure you get and stick to a price.
