I went for a basic hair consultation on Dec 23rd . I understand that a hair dresser wants to understand a clients hair . However, Latonya went to far when she started making a medical diagnosis on what she thought my hair condition was. I don’t have to share medically what’s wrong with my hair. I was open to the protective hair styles that she was suggesting however I dislike how she could assume that I have alopecia. My suggestion would be to get a medical degree in hair dermatology before you make assumptions about a client’s hair. Also , Hippa law states that a person doesn’t have to share any medical history with you because that information is confidential. Be very careful on medically diagnosing people when you don’t have a medical degree in hair dermatology.
