Customer Reviews
I had the worst experience at Sams Nails. The nail technician didn’t clean my previous nail polish properly, leaving the sides dirty and neglecting to take care of my cuticles. When I was about to pay, which was $40 for a regular manicure, she informed me that it was $50. To make matters worse, she had already painted one coat of nail polish and then another, and she wanted to charge me more without prior notice. In my experience, all salons I’ve been to do two coats of nail polish, regardless of whether it’s the same or different color. In the end I paid $40 for a terrible job! Never again!
Second time there, charged me 15$ more than the first time i went for a gel manicure. The nails were cut terribly and i have swelling now on my left middle finger. I had to recut them myself. After a day the polish peeled off and the tool she used to smooth my nail burned my skin and i had to pull away. Now the part of the gel that came off, the nail is very thin and i remember it being extremely painful the first two days. This is one week later. My middle finger on the left hand has swollen and is in intense pain!
Can’t speak to the quality of the manicures because they didn’t even make it that far. First tech sat me down, i informed them I had polygel and extensions on that needed removal. She took out nail clippers and a metrocard. Clipped down to my natural nail and then shoved the card underneath the growth from the polish and immediately ripped my first two natural nails apart before I could tell her it was hurting. Second nail tech finished the job with the same raggedy metrocard and then told me it was my fault my nail broke (?) I really don’t get any pleasure from leaving small businesses bad reviews but I paid $10 for them to break two nails and damage the rest. All I can say is don’t come here for removal!
They don’t have a wide variety of colors to select from Got a gel manicure less than 24 hours ago and its already chipped Arent willing to try to understand what you want done when talking to them Unhygienic: they use recycled flip flops, and say they clean them but they were thrown up against the wall, stained and unwrapped. Then had the nerve to say they charge $2 for them if you want to keep then. Went home and immediately soaked my feet in alcohol to avoid a fungus
I went in for a pedicure. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted, one of the workers came rushing to me to take my temperature then said what did I want done. I was taken to the pedicure station & the worker started getting the supplies ready. I was not happy with how dingy & stained their white towels were. When it was time to remove the dead skin from my feet the work pulled out the metal scraper (I thought they were banned from nail salons) I had to tell her I didn’t want her to use that. She did a great job on my gel pedicure but I didn’t feel relaxed at all. The vibe was not welcoming.
