There's a reason why Sal is a certified legend in East Greebush and the surrounding communities. He's the best barber in the Capital Region, and it ain't even close. And if that weren't enough, Sal offers the best haircut value you are likely to find elsewhere. Not to mention, his great personality and his knack for engaging conversation while he clips away. Sal has been cutting my hair for over four decades, so I know what I'm talking about. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. If you've never visited Sal's Barber Shop, do yourself a favor and stop in. Once you do, you too will never want to go anywhere else.

I've been searching for just a place like this. I haven't had a haircut like this since I was a child. Sal is professional, kind and knows what to do with hair. He takes his time and drums up a good conversation that reminds me of old school barber shops. I usually end up with a cow lick after haircuts but this guy not only cut my hair without any direction but then explained why I won't get a cow lick after. I'll be back for my haircuts from here on out.

I should have written a review for Sal a long time ago. He's an excellent barber and offers incredibly affordable services. I've made the mistake of going to other barber shops when Sal was closed and I needed a haircut right away, but I haven't found any barbershops in the area that come close to Sal's. Also, he's a great person to have a conversation with while you're getting your hair cut, but he also doesn't talk your ear off if you don't feel like talking - the perfect balance. For those concerned about social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, yes, Sal wears a mask and he has always maintained an exceptionally clean and sanitary shop. The waiting area's a bit small, but I'm sure he would accommodate someone if they wanted to wait outside - I've never seen him skip over any cus
