This salon is beautifully decorated & has a great vibe! My 7 yr old son has received his last few haircuts from Michelle; she's wonderful with him & does a fantastic job dealing w/ his squirming in her chair!

I just moved here and had my hair done by Michelle Kemper. She did such a fabulous job! For the first time in a long time I felt comfortable enough to let my stylist go with her own vision with my long hair, and she exceeded all my expectations! My hair color and cut turned out awesome! Such a creative visionary and meticulous!

Kelsey is amazing! I had a bad experience with my previous hairdresser and came in looking for a color correction. Kelsey was able to make my hair beautiful again and super natural looking by adding some highlights, lowlights and a root smudge. I would highly recommend this salon!

Mikala Walters is a great stylist. She was able to fix my hair after a stylist at Beautiful Reaction over processed my hair and gave me a crooked cut. It was orange and breaking off so badly. I was so upset and scared to trust anyone with my hair after that BR disaster. I'm so happy to have finally found someone I trust with my long, dark hair.

Locally owned and operated. I’m probably bias, but have been working with a stylist/owner prior to Salon 986 coming to fruition. This is a local business with local roots (no pun intended). The ladies are extremely professional and all are passionate about what they do, and it shows. Yes, men with all different types of hair/style/color/cuts patronize Salon 986 as well. Most of the stylists that work here are appointment only as they’re all booked out weeks, but I’m sure for some men that are desperate for a walk-in you might score a cut from a rare cancellation, but highly unlikely. Call ahead to book an appointment to be safe. Product wise, great selection and it’s not pushed (which I like not having product shoved down my throat).
