I’ve had negative experiences with hairdressers in the past, and as a result my hair growth had really stunted. I’ve been going to Ms.Janella for almost three years now and my hair has flourished ever since 🥹. shes super accommodating and understanding (I’m very tender headed lol), super professional and a master at her craft. I don’t let anyone else touch my hair now. the first picture is from September 2022, and the second one is from August 2025. the pictures speak for themselves!

This is my honest review so please don’t take offense. Jay is super sweet I was nervous at first but she made me feel comfortable. I went in for a trim/dusting, I usually go to my Godmother who is a professional hair stylist but she wasn’t available. I decided to do the $50 trim and just blowout my hair at home. When I first sat in her chair she talked to me asked me about myself vice versa. She made sure to know how much I wanted to cut. I told her I wanted to trim as little as possible and she made it happen. Didn’t really pressure me into cutting more. The only reason I’m giving her 3 stars is because she did end up charging me an extra $50. She let me know my roots weren’t blown out well. I was extremely nervous coming to this salon because I am very picky when it comes to people touching my hair. But I knew something needed to be done, and I am beyond grateful that I came across this salon. From the very beginning, Jay was incredibly attentive to my concerns and truly listened to my hair goals. After having my son, I completely neglected my hair, it was breaking and shedding badly. I’m fairly new to her chair, but already a repeat customer because she’s the only person I trust with my hair now. She’s honestly a hidden gem. She doesn’t just “do” my hair, she genuinely cares about the overall health of it and gives thoughtful, honest advice about what it needs. Every appointment feels peaceful and almost nostalgic in the best way, like being back in a familiar, comforting salon from my childhood. I always leave feeling relaxed, cared for, and confident.
