Salon Spice

My 11 year old had her first salon experience today and it was perfect, thanks to Jade! Jade was kind and made her feel super comfortable. She asked her how she liked to wear her hair (she got a silk press) and she even gave us some after care tips on how to preserve her hair. She did such an amazing job, and this is the silkiest I have ever seen my daughter’s thick, curly hair! We were in and out in about 2 hours! This was our first time visiting this salon in general and it was very clean, beautifully decorated and a very welcoming atmosphere. The owner LaToya was also there doing clients’ hair and you can tell she really takes pride in her work too, she is so talented! We drove over 45 minutes to visit, and it was well worth the drive. Mrs Toya did my daughters hair for her 16th birthday and we are beyond impressed. We both felt welcome and enjoyed the visit. She made recommendations that really helped bring my daughters hair back to life! I also watched her do other styles while I waited and all of them were flawless. I'll be making myself an appointment soon!

My quick weave hairstyle looks cute. However, the hair used from the hair salon is obviously synthetic hair. It is very dry & cheap looking. I have actually been to this salon twice. The first time the hairstylist was 27 minutes late. The second time I went to a different hairstylist and she did not seem to know how to apply a flawless and natural looking quick weave. I still tipped the stylist to be nice. I would recommend real human hair for sew-ins and/or quick weaves.

Got in at 1:50 for a 2 o’clock appointment. Left me hanging for over 2 hours just under the dryer and walked out at one point, didn’t tell me when she would be back. I had a wedding at 6pm earlier had told me I would make it no worries but it was so long I had to remind her so she zoomed through the blow drying and press in 25 mins, really aggressive with hair it stressed me out. The cost was $170 for a trim and silk press, unbelievable it was only ok and hair puffed up in a couple hours which never happens with me when I straighten my hair myself, noticed she didn’t use any products. She was nice but unprofessional I experience overall and overbooked.
