Salon Republic Beverly Hills

My sister went to see Sean at this salon for a balayage and unfortunately left with bright orange highlights that were nothing like what was discussed or shown in his work online. She was told not to wash her hair for 3 days, which she followed exactly. After she finally washed it, the color looked even worse. She reached out to Sean to express her concerns, and his response was that this was a “correction” and that “colors don’t always come out how we want,” and that he could fix it by adding a toner. This raised red flags for us, so she went to the same salon I go to— a far more professional one — and the stylist laughed when he heard that a toner was suggested as a correction for this situation. Did my balayage today with Sean in #87 and he was the best. He and Jenna made me feel like a new person. I loved the personal suites. One thing I do have to note, and this is not the Salons problem, is the garage is not for big cars. My truck can clear any structure with 6’2 clearance. This garage says 6’3 but the fin of my truck hit the top, which would’ve been a huge issue had I kept going. I had to back out and find street parking. Not easy to do when you’re going in for a hair appointment and metered parking is 2hr limit.

Yana was my stylist. She served me coffee. It was an early appointment. She was very friendly, provided excellent hair care and a home care regimen.

The stylists are great, however, the receptionist, Margarita, is insulting, unprofessional and bigoted. Salon Republic Beverly Hills appears to be an inclusive business and welcomes clients of all ethnicities. Therefore, I was absolutely shocked when Margarita, a white woman, said to me. "This is Beverly Hills, not the ghetto." Since she is the Salon Republic representative that clients interact with, it would behoove S.R. to either give her anti-bias and customer service training or replace her with a person who is graceful, intelligent and who can speak with clients appropriately.

I really love this place because one of the estheticians Anastasia always did wonders for my skin. She always cleans my acne super well and I always feel better about myself after a week of my skin healing. It's bright, fresh, and moisturized every single time. :)
