Salon EXP

Today I visited Salon EXP for the first time and had an amazing experience! As a retired hairstylist with 38 years behind the chair, I’ve never really experienced another salon from the client side outside of the ones I worked in. My stylist, Casey, made my appointment incredibly relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. She communicated clearly, really listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly the look I had in mind. Her talent is obvious, but her warm personality made the experience even better. The overall atmosphere of the salon is welcoming, friendly, and very inviting. I will definitely be returning to see Casey again and will happily recommend Salon EXP to others!

I will say the staff here are very pleasant. My stylist cut my hair nicely, but the color did not turn out how I was told it would! I feel like my hair was just lightened a little.. Am I wrong for being upset? I paid for the balayage and trim package, I don’t think it was worth it. This was my treat to myself for my birthday and I left very dissatisfied. The color isn’t bad just not what I asked for. Here’s my inspiration photo and a before vs after.

Went in with a picture of an idea of how I would like my hair to look or close to it. The stylist said " we can do something like that". And that was the END of our conversation, and immediately started putting foils in my hair. Long story short I walked out with half highlighted roots, and over toned hair, with no correction to the section of hair that needed correction and a cut that wasn't even done where I usuallypart my hair. And I was charged 159.59 for a cut and half a head of highlights! Thankfully I called the next day and spoke to the owner, she and another stylist fixed the mess up. If you go in, just make sure you have a good conversation with your stylist before they do anything to your hair, because what I walked out with the first time was NOT worth 159.59 of effort or styl

Hands down the BEST hair salon I’ve ever been to. Heather is amazing, caring, kind, and fantastic at making me feel beautiful when I leave here. Every single person that works here is genuinely customer oriented and focus on you. They all do a wonderful job.

This salon is super cute! Madison did an amazing job, and she was more than accommodating. She listened to what I wanted, and gave me a result even better than what I had hoped for! I’ll be recommending Salon EXP, and Madi to anyone looking to get their hair done.
