Salon 829 - A Dominican Hair Salon

I had high hopes but she ended up being very unprofessional. My first appointment , she took 3 clients at the same time which was uncomfortable and hectic. I thought she was caring for my hair but after washing it she used burning hot heat, I could feel my scalp burning from the hooded dryer and the blow dryer and she burnt my ears from the flat iron several times because the ear covers did not stay. i tried to ignore it but it was unbearable so i kindly asked her if she could turn the heat down a little. There was no consultation so i expressed my hair needs and goals and told her I had previous heat damage before. I wasn’t sensitive to heat but didn’t want extreme heat. I thought we had a good understanding and i was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Continued to be respectfu

I was really impressed by the service and timeliness. So much so I booked another appointment. I came in to get a trim, roller set and blowout per usual at a Dominican salon. Iliana is such a professional. She let me know what she was doing as she worked. I left very satisfied, booked and ready for my next appointment for a deep conditioning. Sidebar, I also found out she has braiders available in the same location. Coincidentally, my mom wanted to get her hair done when she comes out for Thanksgiving. Just got stationed in Kansas and drove 2 hours for my first Dominican blowout—and it was totally worth it! My hair came out silky, shiny, and flawless. The stylist was very kind, professional, and well-educated. I’d rate this place a million out of ten and will definitely be coming back!

My first time with Salon 829 was today and it was WELL WORTH every penny spent. I had the pleasure of meeting Stylist/Owner “lliani” she made me feel so COMFORTABLE just the blow drying of my hair was relaxing and she was also very gentle… She educated me on how to wrap my blowout she was very sweet, clean and most of all I LOVED MY HAIR ! 10/10 I highly recommend … I will be booking again :)
