Salon 809 - A Dominican Hair Salon

DO NOT GO HERE! What I thought was a routine Deep conditioning, trim and blowout has turned out to be a nightmare and heartbreaking experience. I went to this salon as a new client excited to try the service of a blowout. During the wash and condition service everything seemed normal yet as we progressed to the blowout portion the stylist used excessive heat on my hair to the point I asked several times if any heat protection products were being used. She assured me they were and I left with bone straight hair. Despite the concerns I left after service and just noted that I probably would not go back frequently,if at all. After a week I proceeded to wash my hair ,as I normally would, and to my horror my natural curls were destroyed by heat damage, not only that the heat damage is so bad my

I love this salon; it's the only Dominican salon I've been going to. No matter where I live within the DMV area, I go here. Zulema is my girl. She always gets me right and is the best. I love all of them really —they're very classy and professional. I recommend both 809 salons.

Jackie did an amazing job on my hair. I always go to her to get my hair cut and she is fabulous. I also enjoy the overall environment of the salon—it’s very inviting. I would highly recommend the salon as well as Jackie.

It was a great experience. I got a blowout w and added a deep conditioner and trim. The shampoo and deep conditioner felt wonderful and relaxing. The stylists were very gentle with my hair even while blow drying which I appreciate since I'm tender headed. My silk press looks great. Everyone was nice and professional. I would definitely recommend and plan to return.
