Update Thanks for your reply. Seems like you’re implying the gloss didn’t color my hair. All I know is I walked in gray / silver and walked out bright yellow. No thanks to your offer of comp svc - how can you possibly fix it if you deny the cause? Well it looked promising and I gave it two tries, much to my regret. Both times I got a decent haircut from an “emerging professional” or some such. I was not told at booking that I was getting a newbie. First cut went OK with some hiccups, booked a second. I wanted a shampoo tho, I told them the shampoo is what makes it a “salon” experience for me. They assured they booked the shampoo for the next cut, and I foolishly didn’t ask about cost. My daughter got her hair done today as part of her birthday gift and we are more than pleased with the results! Mine and my daughters camera on our phones and the cruddy lighting in our house is seriously not doing her hair justice in showing off how dimensional her beautiful colors are and her curls! We are both in love and recommend this place to spoil yourself!

This was my first time at Salon 554 and, wow, I think this might be the best cut I’ve ever received! Emma listened to all my concerns and addressed each of them beautifully. My curls came out with the perfect shape and layers and I’ve been loving the results. I will definitely be driving from Portland again for a cut!!

I just love this place. I went in for the first time about a week ago for a dry cut, brow wax and tint. Jessica did a fantastic job. She is friendly and fun to talk to and yet she is still focused on what she is doing. I love my hair now and will be a regular. Today, I took my daughter in for a birthday treat and Blake took her slightly over processed hair and tranformed it into a georgeous shiny mane. That young man is a genius with color and hair as well. She finished her experience with a Japanese mini hair treatment and a beautiful blow out, done by Sara(h?). What fantastic people! Go there if you want an upscale hairdo. It is not cheap, but its worth every penny.

Oh my goodness where to start…from booking (super easy, online or phone), the greeters always so sweet. So many little things to look at and touch. The salon area so cute and lots of personal thoughtful touches, like the electric reclining chairs but then there’s Blake….oh my god. I drive from Eugene for the experience with him. He’s so sweet, endearing, and gives the best haircut and shampoo EVER. This coming from the 57 year old woman! Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!!
