I was referred to the stylist by the name of Reese. Professional young lady, I highly recommend her. I'm new to Arizona finding someone who cares for African American hair is rare to find in this area. As soon as I came in she greeted me. Took her time caring for my hair, educating me on how to tend to my hair in this heat, and made me feel seen. Second time I have ever let anyone cut my hair. It came out perfect. The environment was welcoming, family oriented and everyone acknowledged each other. I had a wash, deep conditioner(under the dryer) cut and settled.

Annette Hughes is a very nice person and she does a fabulous job on haircuts and hair styles. And the place is very clean.

It is one of the best salons you can go to, and the stylists are always so friendly. If I ever come back from Oregon, I will see my favorite hairstylist within a hat drop of stepping back into the state. You will always be my favorite stylist & my favorite conversations. Super autism friendly, would recommend highly if you have curly hair or hair that's so thick that you need layering. Dyeing my hair here was a breeze, and I've always had the best turnouts for the colors with my specialist here. Want pretty firey red like the Hunger Games? Want a pretty sunset in your hair or just need a full dye of your hair? This is definitely the place! Could not recommend any more than i have, and i truly miss you guys! Lost my previous hairdresser to a move. I’d grown my hair very long and with the Arizona heat I was ready to switch it up a bit. I took my time and chose an easy, reasonable style for me. After talking to a few girlfriends, one told me about Salon51. I called Michelle and she set me up for an appointment the next day. I could have gone to a chain hut I didn’t want some cookie cutter style from their ‘look book’. I got a warm welcome by Michelle when I arrived, and she got right to work. I showed her my inspiration pics and she agreed that I had selected a good style option given my hair type, lifestyle, and styling/maintenance preferences. No really Walk-in unless you pass their biased scanning. Have a flare of skin cancer on my face. The look on the long hair blond hair stylist told it all. Just a simple hair cut. Nobody of them have any open even yhat was nobody waiting or so. Profiled by my look. Glad the alike look people are welcome and served.
